Sister Kathleen Kaiser looks out of a window in the hallway of the Nazareth Center on Gull Road. The Nazareth Center is home to many sisters in the Kalamazoo area. Kaiser is a member of the Congregation of St. Joseph and also a member of Sisters of St. Joseph. Last summer, the SSJ helped a major hotel chain commit to the global Code of Conduct for the Protection of Children from Sexual Exploitation in Travel and Tourism. This commitment required them to train hotel employees on how to spot victims of the sex trafficking trade. Look for the story next week in the Western Herald.
